About Hiyana

Hiyana Yang serves on the Board of Directors for Hnub Tshiab: Hmong Women Achieving Together.

Hiyana is a mission-driven professional with 15 years of experience leading programs, managing cross-functional projects, and building inclusive systems that support people and outcomes.

​

Her professional background spans higher education, nonprofit organizations, and national associations, with a focus on operational strategy, learning design, and stakeholder collaboration. Hiyana finds meaning in translating vision into action, streamlining processes, and fostering partnerships that create lasting impact.

 

Hiyana holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Journalism and a Master of Arts in Educational Administration and Leadership. She brings together storytelling, strategy, and systems thinking to design programs, lead teams, and drive impact.

Hiyana was inspired to join the board of Hnub Tshiab: Hmong Women Achieving Together because of her two young daughters. She hopes to carry the torch and pave new pathways for young Hmong women to take ownership of their lives, uplift the voices of other women, and strengthen the communities in which they live.
